I have never heard it said that way before.
We talk about resurrection only because there was a crucifixion.
To create, one must destroy.
How do we apply this to ourselves? Our potential?
Joseph Campbell tells us that we need to leave the land of the familiar (comfort zone) and re-enter the forest of the unknown right at the darkest point (discomfort zone).
We are on this journey to uncover and rise to our new potential. But we are carrying a lot of baggage with us.
Our beliefs, experiences, values – everything that makes us who we are today.
They have proved to be valuable in bringing us this far. But they are also holding us back. Keeping us in our comfort zone. After all, we’ve had years of practice!
To breakthrough to our infinite potential, we have to let go of this baggage.
This version of us must DIE so that our new version can be RESURRECTED.
What are your beliefs and values that are holding you back?
Take a moment to think about what it would take to shed them. To KILL this version that is holding you back. And to BRING TO LIFE the new version of unlimited potential.
What would it take?
Now go forth, and take your first step.
